Your Future Role

Drive the artistic and creative direction of our projects in collaboration with the different discipline leads;
Create and manage art documents defining direction and workflow;
Manage art teams in various disciplines such as Illustration, Graphic Design, VFX, Concept art and UI in ensuring the consistency and quality of the art style;
Ensure that all assets created by the art team conform to the style and technical guidelines of the title;
Participate in and run meetings, reviews, and planning as part of effective communication with the team;
Coaching, mentoring and team development are the key focus. You’ll use your experience in these areas to develop the team, identify and mentor emerging talent, in addition to taking an active role in the recruitment process where opportunities for team growth arise;
Ensure good communication and coordination between art teams and other disciplines;
Continually sharpen artistic abilities through training, independent learning, and from other team members;
Create, document, and communicate all project schedules to management;
Explore new technologies on the given platforms to achieve the best possible results;
Prepare and monitor task schedules for art teams in conjunction with Discipline leads and Project Management teams;
Review assets and levels produced by outsource teams and provide technical and aesthetic feedback;
Perform appraisals, reviews and objective setting for the art teams.

Desired Qualifications

Clear understanding of game development pipeline and workflow;
A broad understanding of contemporary processes, 2D pipelines, asset management and engine technology;
Strong 2D (digital) portfolio, experience with Unity, animations and optimization it’s a plus;
At least 4+ shipped titles with 2 as Lead Artist;
Excellent drawing skills both in traditional and digital media;
Experience working with outsourced assets and communication with outsource teams;
Self-motivated, good communications skills, and a great team-player;
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, meet deadlines and expectations;
Excellent written and verbal communication;
Ability to take responsibility for big decisions.
