Oatly exists for one reason: We want to make it easy for people to eat and drink so that they feel good while not having to worry about consuming the planet's resources. Oatly was founded in the 1990s after scientists at Lund University made the revolutionary discovery that natural enzymes can transform fiber-rich oats into nutritious liquid foods, perfectly adapted to humans. Today, the method is patented and we are working devotedly to our task: to improve the well-being of both individuals and the entire planet with a product range that derives its power from Swedish oats.
The Oatly brand is found in more than 20 countries in Europe and Asia. Oatly has a turnover of about SEK 1 billion and has about 200 employees.

Your Future Role

You will have two main areas of responsibility; the conceptual and strategic project responsibility for the establishment of new production facilities around the world, and the strategic responsibility for the technical development of existing and new plants. Your work is largely conducted in a matrix organization with both local and global stakeholders.

When establishing new sites you will be responsible for the technology of the new plant, focusing on conceptual and basic design to ensure that the new site is based on the established concepts and that the strategic decisions are made on the basis of the global standard for Oatly's factory design. This requires active participation and a lot of field work to establish relationships with suppliers and the local- and regional organization in EMEA, Asia and the USA, respectively. Through your team of Project Managers you ensure that the projects achieve the set goals by using efficient and standardized project models.

As responsible for the technical development of the production facilities, you work in close cooperation with the local Technology Managers to implement automation- and maintenance systems to ensure optimal productivity and availability in the plants. The position is located in Landskrona and involves frequent travelling.

Desired Qualifications

We are primarily looking for someone with solid production- and leadership experience. To succeed in the role you will also need operational- as well as strategic experience in establishing and streamlining production facilities in an international environment, preferably within the food industry or other process industries. It is a merit with formal knowledge in Lean manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma.

To be successful you need to be committed and determined as a person. We are looking for you with a clear drive and a desire to constantly improve and develop the business. You are expected to lead by good example, sharing the values ​​and priorities that the company stands for. You have a burning interest in production technology and production processes. The role involves global responsibility; therefore, you need to be interested in other cultures and adaptable to prevailing circumstances around the world.

You have a technical education at university level, excellent English in speech and writing is a requirement as well as a driving license. Swedish is meriting.
