Currently QPharma is expanding sales, staff, facilities and its wider product portfolio. Focusing on high potent development and production, within the area of controlled release, the company has invested heavily in buildings and equipment with the aim of supporting growth and widening its core capabilities. The business is part of Sever Life Sciences which focuses on the development and commercialisation of niche hospital, and orphan products to respond to unmet medical needs and is present in 17 countries.

QPharma AB is now searching for an experienced Technical & Engineering Manager with a solid track record from manufacturing, preferably within the pharmaceutical / medical device industry. However candidates with highly relevant experience from areas such as within FMCG are of interest. As T&E manager you will play a key role in delivering the company masterplan, where our technology capability will be central to our success. This role will collaborate with the senior management team and other stakeholders to drive high impact projects in line with the Company strategy. The role will cover a range of responsibilities from inputting into technology and wider business strategy, to diving into highly technical issues.

Based in Malmö, you will report directly to the VP Operations and be a part of the Operations Management Team.

Your role
You will lead the Technical and Engineering team in supporting management delivering both its short term operational targets and its longer term strategic goals measured through clearly defined operational KPI and strategical objectives. Emphasis will be on driving the development of our technology & engineering capability in line with the QPharma strategy, where Industry 4.0 will be an integral part.

The position will include both operational and strategic responsibilities such as:
- Identify and prioritize high impact technology improvement projects with solid business grounds
-Ownership of the Capex process and supporting management by ensuring its alignment with the site master plan
-Build solid resource planning and follow-up procedures for your team of engineers
-Lead the implementation of strategic projects and review performance against set targets
-Ensure in-house engineering capabilities matches current and future demands
-Build strong collaboration with external partners within areas of Industry 4.0

  • College or university degree required; Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant management experience
  • Documented experience of implementing Industry 4.0 required
  • Project management skills
  • Business acumen, can generate value proposition through technology utilisation
  • Demonstrated experience of driving technology cultural change
  • Comfortable learning new systems and operating within those systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Fluent in both English and Swedish
