Head of IT Infrastructure & Support

On behalf of our client, we are looking for the Head of IT Infrastructure & Support. You will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading IT & system/network related activities. As the Head of IT Infrastructure & Support, you'll be part of the local management team and will lead own team of IT System Administrators supporting any issue all over the Latvia 24/7. If you are hands-on with technical tasks and leadership is the competency you would like to develop even more, this role might be the right fit for you!

Responsibilities:

• Take part in developing company’s strategic technical direction, driving profitable business growth using multi-channel technical solutions.
• Encourage growth through technical innovations, have creative control over the IT service delivery, to improve and enhance internal and external customer experience.
• Secure continuity of IT services, covering all IT, hardware and software.
• Management of external 3rd party vendors and IT service providers, as well as commercial contract negotiation and management.
• Key stakeholder engagement to deliver business solutions that exceed expectations and ensure quality.
• Cover all hardware and software security questions and stay up to date with newest security techniques.
• Ensure that server, network and database technologies work smooth and are up to date.
• Coordinate help desk activities to troubleshoot and cover hardware and software related issues virtually and on-site 24/7.
• Lead and develop your IT System Administrators’ team to promote excellent service, professional growth and innovative approach in execution of daily tasks.

Requirements:

• Team management background
• Good knowledge of at least one scripting language (preferred but not mandatory)
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networks
• Knowledge of system security techniques
• Good planning and executing skills
• Good problem-solving and great team player
• BSc in Computer Science or similar field
• Good English, verbal and written communication skills
• As advantage will be considered experience with databases
