LIVONIA PRINT SIA was established in 2006 and during these 15 years the company has grown to be one of the largest and probably the most modern book printer in Northern Europe. Sales reached 75 mill. EUR in 2021 from 47 million books in all shapes and forms. The main markets are Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany and United Kingdom. Much of the sales to these countries are contract sales to major publishing houses, served by Livonia’s own sales teams located in these markets.
During 2021 Livonia consolidated its two Riga plants at the industrial park at Jurkalnes iela 15/25, covering approximately 30 000 sq. m. production and office area. Much of the company effort has been in planning and executing the consolidation process. Livonia has at present 709 employees. Livonia is now looking for a highly qualified and motivated
The majority owner and founder of the company is active as the company’s Sales Director, personally handling many of the major contract customers as well as heading up the sales organization with company representatives in the main market areas. The COO will hence deal mostly with the production and financial operations of the company, but is expected to develop a strong cooperation with the sales director.
The COO is reporting to Livonia’s Board of Directors.
The COO shall provide and be responsible for developing strategic input and advice to the Board of Directors for the development of sustainable strategic business plans and their periodic reviews and revisions. Further be responsible for implementing the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the Board and shareholders by translating them into tactical (budgets) and operational plans for cost-effective manufacturing and other activities, hereunder how the use of digital solutions can improve the efficiency and competitiveness of the company.
The COO shall further be responsible for systematically building a company culture based on openness, mutual respect and trust. Establish systematic dialog with the employees through verbal and written communication. An important aspect of the position is thus to practice good and transparent general management by example. It is therefore important that the COO possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Short term and long term objectives and targets will annually be defined by the Board of Directors and normally in connection with the strategic and budgeting processes.
Important areas or tasks for the position are outlined in a separate position description.
Relevant education background will be engineering or business administration/MBA. Candidates should document excellent results from previous positions managing larger, export oriented production companies, plants or similar. Very good proficiency in verbal and written English.
Negotiable salary consisting of a fixed and variable part based on achieved results. Benefit package.

to head up Livonia SIA. The COO’s main responsibility is to ensure that the execution of the overall operational activities is in line with Livonia’s short term and long terms objectives and targets by providing professional leadership and advice to secure maximum profitability.
