Head of Private Banking Department

- has a managerial experience of leading teams (+3 years), preferably in banking or other financial, investments, insurance services industry or otherwise has a demonstrable understanding of how the Private banking operates
- is familiar with investment products and financial market trends, preferably has a BFAA licence
- is customer centric and sales driven, possesses a deep understanding on how to deliver customer value, profit, and sustainable impact on Private banking business and society
- has an understanding of KYC and AML concepts, able to swiftly learn and adapt to internal processes and requirements
- has a business acumen and strategic vision combined with good networking, negotiation, interpersonal skills
- has a university degree in Business administration, Economics, Financial management, Accounting and Auditing, or similar
- has a professional spoken and written Latvian and English
What will be your daily work in this role:
- aligning your work and the team’s contribution to the bank’s direction and strategy, planning business objectives, monitoring their achievement
- maintaining of Private Banking department`s reputation in the market by regularly monitoring the quality of customer service and reviewing customer suggestions for operational improvements
- ensuring that Private banking supports customers and offers services in line with company`s financial objectives, legal standards, risk tolerance and KYC principles
- provision of advice on life insurance products/non-life insurance products, investment insurance products and provision of advice/information on investment products (will require completion of Mifid and IDD training and licensing, if not available currently)
- facilitating cross-business unit initiatives, leading, and encouraging collaboration across the organisation
- monitoring of medium to long-term business trends/outlooks, gathering competitive intelligence to contribute to strategic business planning discussions with company`s executives
- identifying growth opportunities, driving revenue and market share growth
- maintaining external relations with field`s professionals, represent bank in different conferences and forums
- developing and integrating approach to business development, sales, marketing, product development, and customer experience/interaction
- driving operational excellence, process optimisation and performance across your teams
- defining clear responsibilities and priorities for your team members
- ensuring the continuous development of your team and your own leadership skills
- assessing and improving the performance of your team members
- exercising coaching methods as part of your leadership style
- ensuring a sustainable work climate and sustainable employees
- building a diverse team with high level of team spirit and engagement
