Over the past years, our client has substantially increased his presence in the European market and established further sales and production sites.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

In your new role as Sales Director Performance Materials Electronics you will be in charge of the commercial execution of the sales growth strategy for the EMEA region. You will lead and motivate a regional team consisting of Key Account Managers and work closely with the Customer Service, Product, Market and Channel Management.
You will drive efficient customer satisfaction and quality sales to meet revenue growth and account market development objectives and you will make the “One Company” - sales strategy, mission and vision come to life.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales and go-to-market strategies
  • Build a strong and cohesive team that is highly motivated and customer focused
  • Lead a strong forecasting process that provides accuracy and clarity to executive leaders
  • Execute on pricing expectations set forth by product management and convert leads into new business opportunities
  • Conduct regional sales forecasts, territory planning, demand generation, deal strategy development and trend analysis
  • Drive continuous improvement of sales processes
  • Contribute to the development of the next generation of products by capturing the ‘voice of customer’ and defining the competitive landscape
  • Act as a key customer representative with Product Marketing and Technology & Innovation organizations; identify developing customer needs and opportunities
  • Demonstrate a One Company
  • Challenge the status quo to take the client’s customers to the next level of performance / team with peers in other regions and businesses / identify opportunities to leverage technology
  • Together with Senior Leadership, build and develop the talent pipeline; effectively manage the region’s talent and provide strong mentoring, coaching and growth opportunities to develop future leaders.
  • Demonstrate a relentless focus on safety and ethics across the organization

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in business or relevant technical, material science or engineering field
  • Minimum 10 years’ professional sales experience including sales processes and direct team leadership positions in electronics for telecommunications, aerospace, energy or automotive
  • Experience leading a sales organization, including implementing strategies and setting priorities
  • Experience in sales, new business development with “mission critical” materials technology experience a plus
  • Experience interacting with a large organization, demonstrating ability to influence and communicate effectively
  • Able to energize the organization around common goals and deliver growth
  • Effectively and efficiently lead across matrixed organizations through both direct leadership and persuasion; able to influence and communicate effectively
  • Creative, confident and a “hands on” leader
  • Action-oriented and solutions-driven
  • Strong conceptual skills and able to deal with ambiguity and complexity; possesses a balanced focus on both the “big picture” as well important operating details.
