Our client is the manufacturing branch (Vienna catchment area / Lower Austria) of an owner-managed pharmaceutical company that offers and develops original prescription drugs worldwide and is constantly growing through strategic acquisitions. With the aim of ensuring the long-term availability of its products, developing them further for the benefit of current and future patients and supplying them worldwide, the biotech production site is being expanded dynamically and in line with the latest state of the art.

As of now the company is seeking an ambitious and motivated candidate to fill the following business critical key position with the perspective to develop to Deputy Head for the whole production:

Senior Manager: Production Development & Optimization (f/m/x) - Option to develop as a Deputy!

Lower Austria / Vienna Catchment Area

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

• Staff position with direct reporting line to Head of Production
• Review and evaluate the production processes in terms of value streams and resource allocations
• Planning of manufacturing processes, current resource requirements and resource gaps
• Support the production management, by taking over well-defined production management tasks
• Initiate and lead strategical changes in manufacturing processes
• Evaluate and plan the implementation of potential new and optimized technologies
• Conduct financial analysis of manufacturing and product portfolio together with the relevant departments
• Regular reporting as well as close collaboration with all stakeholders within the company

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• MSc or equivalent Diploma in relevant field
• Experience as manufacturing lead in pharmaceutical API or DS manufacturing field
• Profound knowledge of biotechnological processes (USP and/or DSP) and synthetic chemical processes as well as economic understanding of the manufacturing processes
• High level of practical knowledge in GMP
• Good understanding in technical field of manufacturing equipment in Biotech processes (USP, DSP) and synthetical chemical processes
• Excellent communicator with the capability to communicate with employees and colleagues, as well as external parties
• Team-player with strong project management skills: able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to make decisions and implement changes
• High flexibility: Adopt new challenges and tasks in relatively short time
• Good command of English and German (oral and written)
