Group Financial Controller

Job Purpose Performs financial consolidation and reporting activities, in compliance with company’s financial policies and procedures. Perform internal controls for all processes and procedures. Present findings and improvements proposals. Prepares various financial simulations and analysis to support the decision making process.

Main functions and responsibilities

  • Prepares and presents consolidated financial statements and reports, according to internal policies and procedures;
  • Prepares financial analysis, upon request, to support the decision making process for investment projects, contracts negotiations etc;
  • Analyzes financial information/reports and prepares forecasts and projections for management;
  • Monitors inter-company activities and performs reconciliations of inter-company accounts;
  • Participates and provides support during the budgeting process;
  • Follows up on the budget, identifies potential deviations and prepares explanatory notes for management;
  • Analyses and checks commercial contracts’ compliance with agreed financial terms;
  • Provides support during external audit activities;
  • Participates in process, control and financial reporting improvement projects;
  • Assists in the implementation and communication of new accounting practices and policies;
  • Prepares and presents various financial reports and analysis for management, whenever necessary;


  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in a Finance department, e.g.: accounting, financial analysis, financial and/or business control; experience on a similar position represents advantage;
  • Experience working with IFRS and CAFR member represents an advantage;
  • University degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics;
  • Very strong technical knowledge with in depth knowledge of financial analysis;
  • Strong attention to details, constantly challenging and verifying numbers, able to deal with complex issues;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex financial data in a easy-to-understand way for non-financial audience;
  • Flexible and able to operate in a fast-growing company, with a high level of workload, while meeting tight deadlines;
  • Fluency in English language (written and spoken);
  • Strong IT skills. Experience working with Microsoft BC represents advantage.
