About the Role
As Grid Connection Manager, you will be responsible for all grid-related activities across the project lifecycle – from acquisition and development through design, construction, and sale. You will play a key role in securing timely and cost-efficient grid connections for our projects and ensuring smooth collaboration with system operators and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review grid connection applications with relevant System Operators (SOs).
• Carry out preliminary internal grid designs, CAPEX and OPEX calculations, and technical assumptions during development.
• Manage relationships with SOs during permitting and oversee the process of obtaining final connection agreements.
• Lead technical design reviews and support negotiations with turbine and Balance of Plant (BOP) contractors.
• Manage and coordinate external consultants.
• Provide technical support to the Construction Manager during realization and to the Operations team when required.
• Contribute to risk assessments and technical decision-making throughout project phases.
Your Background
We are looking for someone with strong technical expertise in electrical engineering and proven experience in grid connection for large-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects. You should bring a problem-solving mindset, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
