Supply Chain Specialist (m/f/d)

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:
• Deploy and monitor a Global Best in Class, Collaborative, Agile and Real-Time Regional and
Differentiated distribution network delivering a “Unique Customer and Patient Experience”
• Manage operations of Regional Distribution Center to enhance the customer service level

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Ensure and manage continuous improvements for a high Customer Service Level and cost effective distribution network towards LOCs on product portfolio and geography responsibility
• Manage daily operations of the 3PLs Inbound & outbound transport operations and RDC Replenishment / restocking operations from RDCs to satellites DC
• Manage and operational troubleshooting on orders and shipments to/from Regional Distribution Centers in area of responsibility in coordination with plants /OpUs and LOCs
• Actively support regular QBRs (Business Performance Reviews) and continuous improvement initiatives of 3PLs (Regional and Local)
• Monitor monthly Key Performance Indicators and Metrics comments within area of responsibilities
• Manage daily 3PLs interfaces IDOCs issues
• Manage Stock reconciliation procedures between SAP and 3PLs ERP systems including Inventory management activities at 3PLs DCs (stock counts, claims,...)
• Manage daily DCs performance, deviations management & CAPA issues escalation and resolution in coordination with quality
• Sustain GDP compliance and support Internal/External quality Audits
• Review invoices from suppliers in scope of DOA

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS
Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise (Breadth and depth of knowledge, application and complexity of technical knowledge)
• 3 to 5 year experience preferably in Pharmaceutical industry
• Strong understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes & functions
• Strong in logistics & transportation processes
• Good understanding of GDP requirements (GDP: Good Distribution Practices)
• Good Supply Chain systems knowledge (SAP)

Leadership (Vision, strategy and business alignment, people management, communication, influencing others, managing change):
• Ability to operate cross functionally, working with Operating Units (OpUs), commercial business units, Global Quality and business partnered functions (procurement, finance, IT, legal, …)

Decision-making and Autonomy (The capacity and authority to make organisational decisions, autonomy in decision making, complexity of decisions, impact of decisions, problem-solving):
• Strong stakeholder mgmt. capabilities across all organisational levels (local, regional)
• Good capabilities to influence Commercial & Production organisation

Interaction (The span and nature of one’s engagement with others when performing one’s job, internal and external relationships):
• LOCs / manufacturing units / OpUs: steer transportation & distribution processes harmonisation according to global guidelines; support the resolution of inventory and performance issues
• Suppliers /Procurement: Ensure implementation and use of transport/logistics/distribution procurement standards & procedures and actively monitor selection of suppliers in scope.

Innovation (The required level of scientific knowledge, knowledge sharing, innovation and risk taking):
• Good contribution of thought, experience, background, and skills in the areas of distribution and warehousing excellence, leveraging logistics services to enhance the customers experience, drive process excellence and improve SC responsiveness

Complexity (Products managed, mix of businesses, internal and/or external business environment, cultural considerations):
• Good capability to manage & enable resolution of complex supply chain issues across a vast number of stakeholders & cultures
• Good understanding of how to drive decision making within a regional matrix organisation
• Good capability to manage ambiguity, find pragmatic solutions & align/influence key stakeholders

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
• Degree in Supply Chain management
• 3 to 5 years of prior relevant experience in Supply Chain Distribution and Logistics management,
• Very Good Supply Chain systems knowledge (SAP LES/MM/SD/FI, customers and suppliers collaboration solutions,…)
• Strong communication skills to manage stakeholders across levels & across countries
• Good leadership, networking and influencing skills
• Very good intercultural skills
• Structured, holistic and clear in problem solving
• Strong ability to present ideas with clarity, conviction and confidence
