Technical Product Owner, Payment Services

Denholm is working with one of our financial services clients in Carlisle who is looking for a Technical Product Owner, Payment Services to join their growing payment services function.

In this position, you will:
  • Own how payments services operate from a customer perspective.
  • Define customer requirements, service levels, and non-functional requirements and act as the owner of customer journeys for Payment Service activities (inc. ATM).
  • Actively taking part in improving the customer experience.
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities consistent with overall business objectives, taking clear proposals through governance to delivery.
  • Monitor payment services performance from a customer perspective to inform product decisions.
  • Ongoing analysis of competitor, general market and regulatory Payment Services developments to provide insight into tactics that deliver improved propositions, financial performance, the right customer outcomes and to ensure that our products continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
  • Act as a ‘Payment Services Advocate’ within the business, liaising with other departments to promote the features and benefits of Payment Services. Providing a point of contact for sales and operational teams to resolve complex Payment Services queries
Experience required for the role:
  • Collaborating with the Payment Service Design Team and Product Management Team to define change requirements
  • Providing subject matter expertise to support the delivery of change
  • Work with Information Security and Operational resilience to ensure the services provided are secure and robust.
  • Lead scheme attestations, ensuring input is provided from relevant areas.
  • Manage the backlog - developing and planning sequence of events for promoting change to the production environment, minimising customer impact and meeting IT Service assurance requirements
