People & Culture Advisor

You would have the chance to be involved in all aspects of HR - from the hiring approach, team onboarding, admin processes and internal events - the role of People & Culture Advisor is key to making sure these things run like clockwork in a flexible, but structured way. As a result, you need to be enthusiastic, meticulously-organised, approachable and an excellent communicator, with a human-centric approach. Reporting directly to the Head of People & Culture, this role supports a variety of areas throughout the team lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, review cycles, learning and development, engagement strategies, policy review and implementation, as well as assisting with general administration.

You would bring your solid HR Advisory experience to work in the following areas:-
* Handling Enquiries: Provide up-to-date and informed HR guidance and support to both team members and people managers on internal people processes and systems.
* Workload Prioritisation: Document, prioritise, and track incoming internal HR requests as necessary in line with wider agency commitments and an understanding of both short-term and long-term strategic plans.
* Data Management: As well as more high level people management responsibilities, the People & Culture Advisor will also be able to take their work from start to finish, ensuring accurate data management and record retention of all people- related administration on our dedicated people & recruitment platforms (HiBob and HomeRun) ensuring all practices comply with GDPR (UK) legislation.
* Recruitment: Handling all active recruitment. Short-listing applicants as agreed with hiring managers, arranging interviews and coordinating diaries across the team and preparing all post-interview paperwork including employment letters and contracts.
* Handbook management: Working closely with the HoPC to make sure the company has relevant policies in place which support the business and ensuring these are updated regularly with any changes and are included in the Employee Handbook.
* Team Immersion Experience: Work in partnership with the Office Manager and hiring managers to ensure new members of the team have an exceptional pre-boarding and onboarding experience. Continuously reviewing and refining as necessary over time based on team feedback.
* Onboarding Coordination: Tracking new team members' first three months to ensure there are regular check-points, feedback opportunities, and development plans.
* Internal Events: Support the HoPC with the implementation of regular internal events which support team-building, engagement and learning across a number of themes, working closely with the Office Manager to surprise and delight our team with ad-hoc treats, surprises and fun events.
* Review Cycles: Assist with the organisation and launch of regular review cycles, providing support and guidance to People Managers on the correct processes.
* Learning & Development: Assist with the collation of data on PDP progression, skills analysis, learning opportunities at agency, team and individuals and support the coordination and delivery of internal learning programmes.
* Wiki Management: Work in collaboration with the Office Manager to create and manage internal wiki spaces, ensuring operation 'how-to's and need-to-know information is kept updated.
* Reporting: Assist with the scheduled reporting on business critical reports such as payroll changes in addition to team engagement surveys and ad-hoc polls for feedback.

You should be/have:-

* People/HR experience - a working knowledge of HR processes and up-to-date employment law knowledge.
* Passion for culture and employee experience - the hint is in the job title - culture is half of this job.
* Excellent communication skills - able to articulate ideas, opinions and feedback clearly and confidently with a level of self-awareness, self-management and social awareness. Also able to practice active listening, with intent to understand.
* Excellent writing and presentation skills. This isn't a traditional HR department, so communicating information in line with the friendly company tone of voice is key. * Inquisitive and curious mind - an eagerness to learn continuously and seek out creative solutions to problems.
* Meticulous organisation skills - able to handle high volumes of requests in a methodical and logical manner, continually reassess priorities, and respond to requests in a timely way.
* Administration skills - demonstrable experience using administration tools and knowledge of working applications (examples include Google Suite, Microsoft Word & Excel)
* Attention to Detail: exceptional attention to detail, able to proof-read, and spot-check complex data and spot anomalies with ease.
* Discretion & diplomacy - An ability to exercise discretion and adhere to confidentiality requirements when handling sensitive data.
