HR Business Partner

Denholm Associates are proud to have been asked to support one of the oldest and most prestigious golf clubs in the world, in their search for an exceptional Human Resources Business Partner. This excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and results-driven HR Business Partner (HRBP) to work at both a strategic and operational level as they embark on the next phase of the Business Strategy, to ensure that golf is thriving in 50 years' time. The HRBP will be responsible for providing a proactive, value-add, timely and comprehensive service to the organisation, being the HR expert to advise, guide and support staff and managers. This role is crucial in driving an excellent operational service focusing on the employee experience as well as working with key stakeholders to shape, develop and deliver the People Plan and solutions in line with the Business Strategy.

You would join at a very exciting time in this society's history, as they react to Covid and its implications and look to a new way of working. The hope is that the team of 4, looking after 300 employees, will return to a hybrid home/office working balance, meaning a commute to St Andrews should be manageable.

Core responsibilities are: -

* Develop strong, collaborative and effective working relationships across the organisation by providing pro- active, legally compliant, appropriate guidance, support and solutions to ensure the delivery of outstanding HR service.
* Provide coaching and practical support for line managers enhancing their people management capabilities and confidence, helping foster a supportive culture within their teams whilst reinforcing responsibility and accountabilities.
* Leading and supporting HR Projects to enhance the Employee Experience. Be the valued and trusted HR expert across the organisation.
* Responsible for dealing with all day-to-day employee relations issues ensuring fair and timely processes, stakeholders are kept up to date and that any resulting actions are managed appropriately, allowing for minimal disruption and business continuity.
* Manage key stakeholders and ensure best practice for recruitment of temporary workers at events.
* Keep up to date with legislative changes, external trends and benchmarks and best practice, making recommendations to policies, process and employee handbook accordingly, ensuring these are fit for purpose and up to date.
* Work collaboratively with the HR Team ensuring the sharing of knowledge and expertise to ensure ongoing development.
* Support and advise the HR Team in all HR initiatives and projects they are tasked with delivering.
* Support and advise the Head of HR in the delivery of strategic objectives in line with the Business Strategy.
* Lead and implement the translation of business requirements into effective HR practice delivering high impact solutions that address business need.
* Lead on HR Change Management and develop a robust planning process to deliver pragmatic solutions across the organisation.
* Champion equality, diversity and inclusion, promoting and embedding policy and good practice.
* Support in embedding values of Courage, Integrity and Inclusivity in all areas of the business.
* Develop and maintain constructive relationships with staff representatives and special interest groups, promoting employee engagement and ensuring effective communication channels are maintained, e.g. Internal Communications, Facilities, IT etc.
* Use data and analytics to justify and support initiatives or change in practice as well as measure the effectiveness of any solutions implemented.
* Any other duties to support the organisation and HR team as required.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:-

* Extensive HR Business Partnering experience at both an operational and strategic level.
* Significant experience in core HR disciplines.
* Experience in coaching leaders at all levels.
* Experience of dealing with a high case load and multiple priorities concurrently.
* Up to date knowledge of current employment legislation / best practice.
* Strong Project Management experience.
