Founding-team member - Focus Technology (m/f/d)

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's vision to transform cement production through the integration of Concentrated Solar Power technology. Leveraging pilot successes, your responsibility will be to lead the R&D efforts, taking the technology from its current stage to industrial demonstrators and semi-industrial pilots.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technology development and implementation of pyroprocessing by integration of high temperature renewable heat
• Establish and implement integartion strategy
• Drive ongoing R&D initiatives, ensuring continuous innovation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges
• Direct the planning and execution of pilot-scale projects - from conceptualization, system engineering to implementation
• Ensure projects meet quality, timeline and budgetary expectations
• Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards

Profile

• Ph.D. or advanced degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Proven track record in technology development in the energy or industrial sector
• Experience with high temperature industrial processes and their energetic aspects is a must
• Knowledge in heat integration in industrial processes
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to drive innovation and bring novel technologies to market
• Comfortable working in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment and navigating ambiguity
• Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
