Software Development Lead

For a scale-up in Utrecht we are looking for an experienced and driven Tech Lead. In this role you will lead a team of 4 engineers and contribute hands-on to the development and operations of software solutions.

Job Description- Software Development Lead

As Software Development Lead you are a hands-on team lead overseeing the Development and Ops team (4 FTE). You are responsible for developing and delivering stable, scalable and well documented solutions. You will coordinate between teams, safeguard the architecture, enhance productivity and decision-making — and actively contribute to software development yourself. You will implement and refine policies, guidelines and standards. In addition, you will steer the maintenance and management of the cloud environment to ensure it runs safely and efficiently.
You will report to the CEO.

– Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 standards 

• Technical support and engineering

– Apply modern practices like DevOps, event-driven architecture, and performance monitoring
– Initiate efforts to automate or innovate technology solutions

Requirements

Requirements- Software Development Lead

• At least 5 years of experience as a senior or lead engineer, including experience with C#.NET

• Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies

• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Demonstrable experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross functional environments
