We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for YES-EU AS, Norway. As of 2024, the company’s turnover is approx. NOK 1.5 billion. As a member of the leadership team, you will work closely with the CEO, the board and other executive members to plan, forecast, manage and report on the company´s growth and operations.

As the CFO, you will be responsible for the overall finance management, structure, and regular communication with financial institutions in Norway. This role demands a dynamic individual with a proven track record as finance leader.

The office location is at Tollbugata 10, Oslo and is thus very central and easy to commute to.

CFO Responsibilities: 

Strategic:
  • The CFO will be a strategic partner to the CEO and the Board of Directors
  • Contribute to business development and strategy, and developing precise, value-creating reporting processes to the board
  • Leverage functional skills in finance, accounting, operations and strategy to create the appropriate infrastructure, controls, policies, and processes that can support growth.
  • Assist the company’s CEO and Group CFO in managing investor relations and funding efforts
  • Manage the expectations and forward outlook of financial institutions and investors

Operational:
  • Understand the complexity of the business, identify areas that need attention and take initiative to improve the financials operations, enhance financial planning and resource allocation
  • Manage cash flow, investment, and capital structure to ensure financial stability, including investment of available cash and bank lines of credit for both operational and capital needs
  • Contribute to a better understanding of profitability in the organization, and work to ensure good financial management in the projects
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial management with overall business strategy
  • Cooperate with the Group CFO to develop and improve automated financial processes and systems
  • Regular communication with financial institutions with the aim to manage necessary reporting and secure that all contractual requirements are fulfilled. Participate in funding efforts to meet the need of continuous business growth in Norway

Financial Control & Compliance:
  • Have full overview of the company´s finances and ensure to put in place necessary internal control routines and procedures
  • Oversee the company's financial well-being, ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory compliance
  • Lead a team of accountants and finance professionals to shape and develop an effective, insight-driven finance function that provides management with solid decision-making support and facilitates good financial management
  • Overall responsibility of budgeting, monthly financial report and rolling financial forecast and cash flow forecast, annual closing and audit in Norway, Norwegian GAAP and IFRS
  • HR responsibilities are mostly handled by dedicated outsourced teams. This role includes some HR-related tasks including coordinating payroll and ensuring compliance with relevant laws

Qualifications:

We believe great candidates can come from various backgrounds. While prior CFO experience is a plus, it is not a requirement. We are looking for someone with: 
  • MSc in Accounting, Audit, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in international or growth-oriented companies
  • Experience of leading a cross-functional, multicultural, and international team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central is preferred, but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of an organization and with staff at remote locations
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Appreciation for an entrepreneural culture and being hands on in the business
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • Professional proficiency in English and Norwegian is required
