Are you ready to revolutionize data management in the banking sector? Our client, a big international bank, is looking for an Application and Database Developer who's going to play a vital role in shaping their central loan information database using cutting-edge low-code technology!

In this dynamic position, you’ll design and program robust databases and user-friendly interfaces, utilizing MS Access, SQL Server, and Microsoft development tools. You’ll collaborate with vendors, document data flows, and engage with IT teams across regions to ensure seamless integration and optimized data ownership.

Responsibilities Database & Application Developer

• Design and develop databases, user interfaces, and tools using MS Access, SQL Server, and Microsoft development platforms.
• Acquire knowledge of the low-code platform (Appian) and collaborate with vendors on development projects.
• Document data flows (data lineage) from the source to final reports, ensuring compliance with DNB requirements through coordination with division leaders.
• Collaborate with IT teams in London and Tokyo to manage infrastructure and current systems.
• Establish technical requirements for all systems and end-user tools, both existing and new.
• Convert functional requirements into technical specifications for applications, databases, interfaces, and related documentation.
• Assess the entire system landscape of the bank, in conjunction with IT Infrastructure, to optimize data flow, data ownership, and create a blueprint for the desired future state.
• Oversee IT development.

Requirements

Requirements Database & Application Developer

• Academic degree in Information Technology or Finance.
• 10+ years of experience as an IT developer and project manager, ideally within the financial sector.
• Proficient in VBA for MS Excel, MS Access, and SQL.
• Experience with SQL Server and Microsoft development tools is preferred.
• Eager to expand knowledge in Power BI, SSRS, RPA, and low-code platforms (such as Appian).
• Willingness to learn about financial reporting and risk reporting within a financial institution.
• Proficiency in Dutch (both spoken and written) is a plus.

Salaris

The Offer Database & Application Developer

A great full-time role (37.5 hours per week) in Amsterdam, hybrid work is possible. The salary for this position will range between 100.000-110.000 EUR gross per year, depending on your education and seniority.
