Functieomschrijving Senior HR Manager

As a Senior HR Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage the HR function for the European region, covering 18 operating companies and approximately 1300 employees.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, including the CFO and President, to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the global vision.
  • Navigate a complex matrix structure with a strong influence from the Japanese headquarters, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
  • Oversee and contribute to ongoing HR projects, including global grading, Workday implementation, and leadership training initiatives.
  • Manage a team of HR professionals located across different European countries.
  • Represent the company in interactions with the Works Council.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment that aligns with the company's values and cultural nuances.
  • Deliver operational excellence-overseeing talent processes, performance management, merit increases, restructurings, dismissals, and rewards in line with strategy, compliance, and care.
  • Design and implement regional HR policies and practices that bring alignment and consistency across operating companies while honoring local nuances.
  • Advise senior management and contribute to strategic data-driven decision-making across the region.
  • Champion smarter processes and better ways of working.
  • Represent the company's people-first values with empathy, diplomacy, and resolve.
  • Manage cross-border HR projects and initiatives that align with global HR policies.

Requirements

Functiecriteria Senior HR Manager

The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in a senior HR role within a global, matrix organization.
  • Experience working with Asian companies, particularly Japanese corporate cultures, is highly preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience in change management and driving HR transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Fluency in Dutch is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a demanding workload.
  • Willingness to be based in Amersfoort, Netherlands, and work from the office 3-4 days a week.
  • Expertise in labor law, performance management, compensation, and change management.
  • Confidence in advising executive leadership on both individual and organizational HR matters.
  • A hands-on, pragmatic approach with the ability to balance strategy and execution.

Salaris

Offer

The gross annual salary for this position will be around €100,000 to €110,000 including holiday pay. The company also offers a car allowance and other benefits that will be discussed in more detail throughout the interview process.
