KYC Analyst – Customer Due Diligence (CDD)

We are recruiting a KYC Analyst on behalf of an international financial institution—the European subsidiary of an Asian bank active in corporate finance, structured finance, and project finance.

In this role, you will support the customer due diligence (CDD) process, including client onboarding, screening, and periodic reviews, to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards at the bank’s Amsterdam office.

Responsibilities: KYC Analyst - Customer Due Diligence (CDD)

As a KYC Analyst, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the client base:

• Gather customer due diligence (CDD) information from clients, counterparties, and external sources
• Enter and monitor client data in internal screening systems; review and escalate any findings
• Prepare onboarding packages after assessing documentation and risk profiles
• Conduct periodic and ad-hoc reviews of existing clients and counterparties
• Coordinate compliance-related tasks with internal stakeholders (front office, legal, risk) and external auditors
• Assist with audit and regulatory reporting requests
• Perform additional CDD-related duties as reasonably assigned by management

What We’re Looking For

• At least 3 years of experience in KYC, AML, and/or financial compliance, preferably within a Japanese bank in the EU zone
• Solid understanding of customer due diligence and regulatory requirements in financial services
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a proactive approach
• Fluency in English (spoken and written), with fluency in Japanese a major plus

This position is open to candidates seeking a freelance or permanent position - even better someone who can start immediately on an interim basis, but is open to negotiate a fixed contract after 3-6 months. ZZP hourly rate between €60 to €85 per hour, depending on experience level. Salary is in the range of €4,100 to €5,000 monthly based on full-time of 37.5 hours per week, excluding holiday pay and a 13th month.
