Job Description - Team Lead Integration Engineering

The Team Lead Integration Engineering is responsible for guiding a team of (Senior) Integration Engineers in delivering complex service implementations and integrations. This role combines technical leadership with people management and strategic planning. It includes shaping team structure, defining and executing on technical strategy, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-impact projects.

The position requires close collaboration with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a growing team of Integration Engineers, with a focus on technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
• Provide hands-on support for complex integration challenges, offering architectural guidance and technical problem-solving.
• Define and implement scalable and secure technical solutions using modern protocols and software architecture principles.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and strong documentation practices.
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to ensure high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Drive strategic projects and team growth, including hiring, onboarding, and process optimization.
• Contribute to the long-term technical vision and roadmap for integration engineering.

Requirements

Requirements - Team Lead Integration Engineering

• At least 2 years of experience leading technical teams in a software or integration engineering context.
• Solid programming experience, preferably in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Functions, Cosmos DB).
• Proven experience with API integrations, system architecture, authentication mechanisms, and transfer protocols.
• Background working with enterprise customers and navigating complex integration requirements.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; able to lead multiple high-impact initiatives concurrently.
• Experience with observability tools and/or data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Kibana) is a plus.
• Knowledge of conversational AI or experience integrating LLMs, chatbots, or virtual assistants is desirable.
• Fluency in both German and English is required.
