Staff Software Engineer wanted for a mid-sized tech scale-up based in Amsterdam (hybrid office/remote work). Do you enjoy technical projects that touch various teams/domains? As a Staff Software Engineer, you will collaborate with others to create scalable services while monitoring and measuring the system's performance. Your contributions will, for instance, improve the user experience, increase platform stability, or improve operational processes. Your responsibilities are bigger than the focus of the team you're in; you will create and comment on RFCs, spot potential future bottlenecks, and investigate new tooling.
You have a lot of experience as a Software Engineer and have led cross-team/department projects.
You can make pragmatic decisions about what technology to use.
You know how to influence and mentor other Engineers.
You can balance shipping new features with reducing technical debt.
You have excellent communication skills, both in-person and in written, asynchronous documents.
