Ranked Twice: Talentor International Named a Top 40 Global Recruiter for the Sixth Consecutive Year and Debuts on Hunt Scanlon’s First-Ever Top 40 EMEA List
Why does Hunt Scanlon’s recognition matter?
Hunt Scanlon Media is one of the most respected authorities on human capital market intelligence, and its rankings are followed closely by talent leaders, boards and search professionals across the industry. To arrive at the 2026 Global 40, Hunt Scanlon’s analysts reviewed an exhaustive list of global recruiting providers and narrowed it down to the forty firms judged best able to satisfy the most sensitive and complex recruitment mandates, with direct access to their managing directors.
Appearing on that list once is an achievement. Appearing on it six years running says something different: it reflects consistency, sustained client trust, and a network that has kept growing without losing the character that makes it work.
A first: the inaugural Top 40 EMEA ranking
This year, Hunt Scanlon presented its first-ever Top 40 ranking of search firms focused on the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). Being included in a ranking’s debut edition is a particular kind of recognition, because it establishes the benchmark against which the region’s search market will be measured from here on.
"For Talentor, the EMEA listing is especially meaningful. EMEA is where our network has its deepest roots. From our headquarters in Vienna, Talentor has grown since 2003 into a network of independent partner firms whose consultants live and work in the markets they recruit in - speaking the language, knowing the salary realities, understanding how a hiring decision is actually made in Warsaw, Rome, Istanbul, Dubai or South Africa."
That combination, one international network, many genuinely local firms, is exactly what the EMEA region demands. Cross-border hiring across Europe, the Middle East and Africa is not a single market with a single playbook. It is dozens of labour markets, regulatory environments and business cultures, and it rewards partners who are present in each of them rather than parachuting in.
Talentor partners operate in over 50 countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; each one local, each one part of the same network.
What do clients look for in a search partner in 2027?
Recognition like this tends to prompt a bigger question, and it is one clients ask us often: how do you choose the right executive search partner? The criteria have shifted noticeably in recent years. Here is what we would encourage any organisation to weigh up.
- Genuine presence in every market you hire in. A logo on a map is not the same as a consultant on the ground. Ask who will actually run your search, where they are based, and how well they know that market’s talent landscape first-hand.
- Sector fluency, not just sector coverage. In markets where senior talent is scarce, the difference between a good and a great search is whether your consultant can hold a credible conversation with the candidate about their field. Look for consultants who understand your industry’s specific pressures, and where its talent is genuinely concentrated.
- Technology applied with judgment. Sourcing tools and AI-assisted screening have transformed how quickly candidate pools can be built. But speed is not the objective; the right hire is. The strongest partners use technology to widen the search and reserve human judgment for the assessment.
- Transparency you can act on. Clear, honest reporting throughout the process, including when the market is telling you something you did not want to hear. Realistic assessments early are far more valuable than optimistic ones that unravel at offer stage.
- A partner who thinks beyond the placement. The measure of a search is not the signature on the contract but whether the person is still thriving three years later. Ask any prospective partner what happens after the hire.
Why do clients choose Talentor?
We prefer to let our work and our figures speak rather than make promises. Today, Talentor brings together more than 500 recruiting experts across over 50 countries and five continents, a headcount that places us among the ten largest networks in Hunt Scanlon's Global 40 by number of consultants. Add to that more than 1,500 cross-border placements over the past decade.
Behind those numbers sit four things our clients tell us matter most:
- Specialised expertise that speaks your industry’s language. Our expert partners span Financial & Professional Services, Industrial, Manufacturing & Construction, Information Technology & Digital, and Life Sciences & Healthcare - so the consultant leading your search understands the role, not just the job description. Explore our industry expertise.
- Access to an expanded talent pool. Our partners reach candidates who are not visible through conventional search methods, and who are frequently not actively looking. For clients hiring across borders, that reach is the difference between a shortlist and the right shortlist.
- Flexibility across your requirements. Executive search, professional search and broader HR solutions, for any leadership needs.
- Two decades of proven results. Talentor has spent more than twenty years refining how an international network can deliver local depth. Our values- appreciation, loyalty, fairness, reliability, quality, and transparency- are how our partners choose to work with one another and with clients.

For anyone evaluating executive search partners on an international scale, Hunt Scanlon’s profiles offer direct access to each firm’s principals, along with a useful read on where recruiting, talent acquisition, and executive search are heading. You can view both rankings here:
We are sincerely grateful to Hunt Scanlon Media for both recognitions, and we want to thank our partners and consultants across the network; this is their achievement. A network is only ever as strong as the people who choose to build it together, and six consecutive years on the global list, followed by a place on the first EMEA ranking, is the clearest possible evidence of what our teams deliver for clients every day.
At Talentor, we remain committed to exceeding expectations and to finding Leaders for Tomorrow, wherever in the world they may be.
"We are proud that Talentor ranks among the top 10 in the Hunt Scanlon Global 40 by number of consultants worldwide. Executive search is a people business, and what counts is how many experienced consultants are actually there for clients, on the ground and in their markets. With 500 consultants in more than 50 countries, our owner-led firms combine deep local knowledge with genuine international reach."
Frequently asked questions
It is Hunt Scanlon Media's annual list of the forty talent providers judged best able to handle complex, senior and cross-border recruitment worldwide. Hunt Scanlon is one of the most widely followed authorities on human capital market intelligence, and its analysts review an exhaustive list of global recruiting providers before narrowing it down.
The Top 40 EMEA ranking is new for 2026, Hunt Scanlon's first list dedicated to search firms operating across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Where the Global 40 looks at worldwide capability, the EMEA list recognises depth and reach within the region specifically. Talentor International appears on both.
Hunt Scanlon's analysts conduct a detailed evaluation of each provider rather than inviting applications or counting revenue alone. The published profiles give clients direct access to each firm's managing directors, so the list is intended as a practical shortlist for organisations with senior hiring needs - not simply a league table.
Talentor International has appeared on the Top 40 Global Recruiters list for six consecutive years. 2026 is the first year Talentor also appears on the Top 40 EMEA ranking, which is in its inaugural edition.
Talentor partners operate over 50 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa — including Austria, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Romania, the Nordics and Baltics, the UK and Ireland, Turkey and Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, and markets across Africa from Morocco and Nigeria to Kenya and South Africa.
