Railway Signalling Design Engineer
Siemens Mobility is seeking an experienced Railway Signalling Design Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of advanced signalling systems for railway infrastructure projects in Estonia.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive signalling system designs to enable safe and efficient railway operations
Analyse railway operational requirements and translate them into technical signalling solutions
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for signalling systems
Collaborate with the customer as well as cross-functional teams including project managers, electrical engineers, and field technicians
Ensure signalling designs comply with all relevant safety standards and industry regulations
Provide technical expertise and support during the installation, testing, and commissioning of signalling systems
Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in railway signalling technologies
Minimum 3 years of experience in railway signalling design and engineering
Extensive knowledge of railway signalling systems, including interlocking, train control, and communication technologies
Preferably a degree in Electrical Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related technical field
Proficient in using CAD software, signalling design tools, and project management applications
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams in English and Estonian or Russian
Familiarity with international railway signalling standards and regulations
Willingness to travel to project sites within Estonia as needed, and occasionally abroad
