CTO (m/f/d)

As the CTO, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's vision to transform cement production through the integration of Concentrated Solar Power technology. Leveraging pilot successes, your responsibility will be to lead the R&D efforts, taking the technology from its current stage to industrial demonstrators and semi-industrial pilots.

Responsibilities

Technology Leadership

• Lead the development and implementation of pyro-processing by integration of high temperature renewable heat.
• Establish and implent integartion strategy

R&D Management

• Drive ongoing R&D initiatives, ensuring continuous innovation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges

Project Management

• Direct the planning and execution of pilot-scale projects - from conceptualization, system engineering to implementation
• Ensure projects meet quality, timeline and budgetary expectations
• Manage projects with large external activities

Collaboration

• Foster collaborations with internal teams, external partners, suppliers and research institutions to advance technologiy development in a multicultural environment
• Represent the company in industry forums and collaborations

Regulatory Compliance

• Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards related to renewable heat, clinker production and other industrial processes with high heat demand
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations

Profile

• Ph.D. or advanced degree in Mechanical and Thermal Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Proven track record of 5+ years in a leadership role with focus on technology development in the energy or industrial sector
• Experience with high temperature industrial processes and their energetic aspects
• Knowledge in heat integration in industrial processes
• Strong understanding of industrial processes, preferably in the cement, steel or related industry
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to drive innovation and bring novel technologies to market
• Comfortable working in a start-up environment and navigating ambiguity
• Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
