FX Java Developer /Tech Lead

As a FX Java Developer, you will be developing new foreign exchange platform for the Markets department as defined by business requirements and prioritization. You will be part of architecture discussion and will help to shape new FX platform that should replace existing BARX FX offering. New FX platform should be following latest development standards and tech stack and should offer our clients platform that is reliable, scalable and offer better user experience.

What will you be doing?

• Developing solutions to problems both tactical and strategic as the business requires it
• Working closely with the business users to understand requirements and deliver high quality solutions
• Providing estimates for tasks, including design, development and testing
• Interacting with senior IT and business personnel at both Director and Managing Director level
• Communicating with senior stakeholders to understand their requirements and manage their expectations of delivery
• Keeping key stakeholders aware of the processes and procedures required for work prioritization
• Proposing solutions to complex problems that are in keeping with the existing system architecture

What we’re looking for:

• Excellent Java programming skills and excellent knowledge of Spring & Spring Boot
• Experience with multi-threading, performance tuning and devops culture and ci/cd methods and principles
• Experience of working with a micro service architecture and of Java unit testing practices, Junit or TestNG
• Good knowledge of standard development and build tools, e.g. GIT, TeamCity etc

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Experience designing and developing REST APIs
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of principles and understanding of HTTP protocol
• Knowledge of HTML5 /JavaScript –React or Angular, Kafka and of GraphQL
