Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll help to build functional systems that improve the customer experience and be involved in developing CI/CD pipelines, configuring Gradle projects, dockerize applications, modernizing monitoring, optimizing deployment processes and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our newly developed core systems. This is an opportunity to work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes. You will also help plan projects and be involved in project management decisions.

What will you be doing?

• Automating deployment, monitoring, and management process using configuration tools (Rancher, kubectl) and CI/CD pipelines
• Leading the migration of legacy systems to modern-cloud-based environments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maximum efficiency gains
• Designing and implementing Docker containers and container orchestration solutions to improve deployment speed, scalability and resource utilization
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess current infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and develop migration
• Developing scripts to automate monitoring and visualization (ELK, Grafana, ITRS)
• Proposing solutions to complex problems that are in keeping with the existing system architecture
• Collaborating with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended

What we’re looking for:

• Solid experience with Docker, building & deploying services on Kubernetes ideally CKA certified
• Experience with REST, Kafka, Solace, microservices-based architectures and excellent working knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines in a globally distributed environment
• Knowledge of Monitoring and Observability Tools: Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk
• working knowledge of databases and SQL and knowledge of MS SQL/Oracle/KDB replication
• Must have Jenkins, Maven, Gradle and GitLab or GitHub CI/CD experience

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field
• Experience in developing/engineering applications for a large company
• Good knowledge of Java 11 or higher
• Knowledge of Rust
