Software Engineer / Product Owner

Do you have a passion for automotive engineering and a knack for product ownership? We're seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join a project building a huge architecture design tool for a well-known premium cars manufacturer R&D centre in Prague.

This role is a unique blend of Software Development and Product Ownership. You'll be responsible for driving the success of the team, communication with stakeholders within the group, and ensuring the team and project achieves its goals.The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience as a Software Development Engineer with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A broad perspective and a willingness to learn new technologies
• Experience with the MPS language workbench is a plus.

What You'll Do:

• Communicate effectively with Tech Leads, Product Owners, Users, and Developers, ensuring transparency and clear development goals.
• Identify opportunities to implement new use cases that support the long-term vision of the project.
• Actively participate in feature development, transforming abstract requests into actionable tasks for developers. Prioritize tasks and evaluate technical solutions with senior engineers.
• Contribute to and shape the development community within Porsche Engineering.
• Utilize your coding skills to contribute directly to the development of the final product.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues.

Experience:

• Senior Developer & Product Owner: Minimum 2 years of proven experience in sofware development and 1 year with product ownership. Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language (ideally, Java, C++, Kotlin) is required.

Technical Skills:

• CI/CD Expertise: Experience with CI workflows, particularly on platforms like Github, and build tools like Maven (for Java projects) is ideal.

Communication & Soft Skills:

• Excellent Communication: Strong communication skills and proficiency in English (C1 level) are required to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Teamwork & Initiative: A team player with a proactive approach is highly valued.
• Methodologies: Agile & DevOps: Understanding of Agile methodologies (SCRUM, SAFe) and DevOps principles is a plus.
• Combines relevant experience into a single bullet point.
• Uses clear headings for different skills categories.
• Explains acronyms like CI/CD for broader audiences.
