Product Controller Money Markets

At Product Control Money Markets you and your colleagues make an important contribution to the financial performance statements of a large international bank. You are interested in the Treasury activities of said bank and want to become an expert on a wide range of financial instruments and associated financial accounting. This role offers the opportunity to partner and liaise with almost every department of the bank, such as Markets, Risk Management, Operations, Treasury, Finance Data & Reporting and IT.

As Product Controller you are responsible for:

• The daily profit and loss reporting of multiple Treasury portfolios;
• Besides thorough income analysis, you will be responsible for financial accounting and various other control activities;
• In addition, you will participate in the development and implementation of new products, processes and (regulatory) standards with respect trade capture, valuation, settlements and controls. Facts & Figures;
• Independent Price Verification of trading portfolios; calculation/analysis of the correct value of the portfolios and determine the impact of identified variances;
• Monitoring/analysis of valuation corrections and ensure the validity/correctness of (manual) corrections made on the valuation of the portfolios;
• Off-market trade detection; verification that trading is performed at prevailing market levels;
• Trade review; verification that structured/non-linear trades are setup in line with term sheets and that applied valuation models are appropriate.

We are looking for talented individuals that are decisive, analytical, result-oriented and customer focused. This role as a Product Controller will call on these skills and allow you to develop them further. The below points are also key for the role:

• Masters graduate in Finance, Economics, Econometrics or Accounting;
• Experience in a financial markets environment with comprehensive knowledge of linear derivatives and fixed income securities;
• Experience with investment banking products, risk management and investment banking accounting;
• Knowledge of Front Office systems (Bloomberg) and data vendors (Reuters, MarkIT) is preferred;
• A combination of strong analytical and communication skills, an eye for detail and a structured work approach;
• Strong affinity with IT and data systems;
• Resilience and perseverance in the achievement of results.

You will come under contract with Independent Recruiters and be seconded to the bank, with the possibility of receiving an employment contract with the bank after 1 year of work. Salary range is between 3000 and 4000 euros per month.
