Global Senior Sourcing Manager - Nitrogen

Are you able to think (and act) without borders? I am looking for a Global Senior Sourcing Manager - Nitrogen! You are going to be part of an international established company with plants, factories and offices all across Europe and active on 6 continents. They focus on food production, agriculture and industry.

In this role, your goal will be to lead procurement of raw materials within the NPK + Specialties sub-category and generate reduction in the total cost of ownership of services. Your future team is focusing on sourcing NPK and Specialties portfolio which services our Innovative Agricultural Solutions business unit. You will be working in a team of Sourcing Managers and Operational Buyers in this sub-category, your line manager, Head of NPK and Specialties.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Actively participate in the strategic sourcing activities for the NPK + Specialties sub-category, with a particular focus on our Nitrogen-based raw material purchases. • Identify, evaluate & select suppliers, negotiate and close framework-agreements • Fully support and champion our Sustainable Procurement objectives • Support R&D with identifying suppliers for specialties chemical and tolling projects; • Maintain and develop in-depth knowledge of suppliers, markets & trends; • Perform best-in-class negotiation processes via analysis of supply & demand trends; • Establish and manage global/regional relationships with suppliers; • Monitor performances of vendors and their compliance with their commitments; • Address & solve operational issues with suppliers; • Provide guidance and guidelines to the regional/local procurement personnel.

Requirements:

• At least 6-8 years of relevant work experience in procurement or marketing & sales for Nitrogen;
• Master or similar degree in a technical based field;
• Understanding of supply markets and price cyclicality in Raw Materials/commodity markets;
• Demonstrable track record of success in managing complex, cross-functional activities and developing/executing key procurement processes;
• Strong negotiation skills and result driven personality;
• Excellent interpersonal, business acumen, communication and supplier relations skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively, in a culture rich environment;
• Strategic thinker and pragmatic worker;
• You are willing to move to the Netherlands.

As this is a demanding and challenging job, we would like to tell you more about it in a personal meeting. Salary range will be arround 100k EUR gross a year.
