BESS Project Engineer (m/w/d)

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop technical designs for BESS projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and grid requirements.
• Assess design packages and identify technical risks and opportunities during investment and M&A phases.
• Support the Technical Lead with analysis, recommendations, and engagement with suppliers and contractors.
• Monitor market trends and evaluate new technologies for future project optimization.
• Act as a key liaison between technical, commercial, and operations teams.

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in renewable energy system design, with at least 2 years focused on BESS projects.
• Strong knowledge of BESS design, industry standards (IEC 62933, UL 9540), and relevant software tools (AutoCAD, MATLAB, PSS/E, HOMER).
• Ability to assess risks and evaluate system performance.
• Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in English, German or French as a plus
