Titan Consulting is a Recruitment and Executive Search firm specializing in mid-to-executive level searches in Japan, with a focus on the healthcare (pharmaceutical / medical device / IVD), clean energy and digital / data sectors. Founded in June 2014, the company operates through three divisions: Titan Healthcare, Titan Business Innovation, and Titan Greentech.
What began as a small start-up has quickly transformed into a recruitment leader, boasting over 200 years of combined experience and a thriving team of 40 professionals—its largest and most accomplished yet.

Daniel McGrath
Daniel is an experienced executive recruiter who has specialized in the pharmaceutical area since 2004. With a primary focus on small to medium-sized biotech firms, Daniel has successfully introduced more than 150 professionals in the areas of clinical development, medical affairs, drug safety, regulatory affairs, and sales and marketing.
A small, focused client portfolio allows Daniel to fully understand each company’s recruitment needs, and this detailed knowledge has resulted in mutual trust and respect with each client in helping them build their business in Japan.
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Daniel spent several years working and traveling in Europe and the US before settling in Japan in 2003. A sports enthusiast, Daniel spends much of his free time cycling, running, and watching rugby, among numerous other sports.
Tyler Cullen
Tyler is an experienced executive recruiter who has specialized in the medical device, diagnostics, and life science spaces since 2009.
He is a trusted partner to many global medical companies, having successfully completed numerous high level searches for Japan President/GM, VP, commercial leadership, as well as clinical, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and back office functions.
A year abroad at a high school in Kumamoto allowed Tyler to become acquainted with Japan at an early age. After graduating from the University of Iowa with bachelor degrees in Japanese and international business, Tyler returned to Japan in 2005 as a participant of the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) program for 3 years in Chiba prefecture. He has resided in Japan ever since.
Tyler is passionate about creating a detailed career plan for each professional and supporting changes that positively affect their career over the long term. He understands that a proper match takes time, and that patience and timing are the key to success.
Originally from Illinois and Iowa in the United States, Tyler enjoys following the Chicago Cubs baseball team, and a continuous search for the perfect bottle of wine.
William Eddy
William is a veteran executive recruiter who has specialized in the pharmaceutical area since 2009. He has successfully introduced over 100 professionals of staff to VP level in the areas of clinical development, medical affairs, drug safety, regulatory affairs, marketing and sales support. William focuses on a small number of companies to gain deep knowledge and maintain strong ties with them.
After graduating from Illinois State University with bachelor degrees in marketing and international business in 1995, William moved to Osaka to further study at Kansai Gaidai University. He subsequently earned his MBA from Temple University in 2011.
During his more than 20 years in Japan, William has held a variety of positions in the life sciences industry. In addition to many years in his current position of executive recruiter, he served as business development manager for the largest pre-clinical contract research organization in Japan, and as the business development / procurement manager for a compassionate use pharmaceutical and medical device importer in Tokyo.
Originally from Chicago in the United States, William has traveled extensively in Japan, having visited all 47 prefectures. In his free time he enjoys traveling and relaxing in outdoor hot springs.
