Germany and Norway join forces in cross-border recruitment

About the client

An innovative company from Oslo (Norway) within the energy value chain sector since 2012.

What does the client needed from Talentor?

The client was looking for an HSE Consultant who would give temporary advice with regards to Health, Security and Environmental aspects as part of the construction project for a new LNG terminal in Germany.

Exciting learnings when cooperating within the network

This project represented many challenges during the candidate search project. First, because the client was looking for a temporary consultancy (Interim solution), so sometimes the speed in the search process could be limited because of it. Second, because of the specific client/ market that we were dealing with.

From Talentor Germany Frankfurt and Capus (Talentor Norway) we needed to listen very carefully to what the client was looking for and how experienced the candidates were in this specific market. When dealing with clients/ candidates from a specific market like clean energy and environmental topics, we as Executive Search experts and providers, needed to take care of many compliance topics.

What I remember the most about this cooperation was how easy it was to get in touch with my Talentor colleagues who could help my client. From the first call with Olga Kolpak, to Jochen Markgraf and Christopher Hämel, I felt we were in sync. Our Norwegian client shared he was very satisfied with the effective and professional service that we provided.When my clients need assistance abroad, I will not hesitate to contact Talentor. Success factors when joining forces within Talentor

One of the highlights of this search project was the speed and efficiency in finding the ideal candidate. The final candidate was found in two days, which is a huge success factor since we presented only one candidate to the client, and in less than a 30-minute meeting between both parties, the decision was made. This was clearly a win-win situation for everyone.

The final candidate was already involved in the building project of this new LNG terminal system for another supplier and counted with an availability of 50% of his working time so this was the ideal scenario for both, client and candidate, in terms of expertise and the Interim consultancy because the candidate knew about the market and the challenges that the project and working dynamic could represent.

In addition, from Talentor Germany Frankfurt, we created an additional value to this search project by supporting the client and candidate in solving a potential conflict of interest regarding compliance by a contract signing and a clear set of communication line between all parties involved so that everyone was fully satisfied with how the process was finalizing.

We are sure there will be many more collaborations between Germany, Norway and the rest of our partners. We are excited to add such a project to our list of cross-border collaborations within Talentor and are ready for the next one!
