Talentor Initiatives: Una invitación especial... Talentor Spain meets for a global coffee

by Manto Antoniotti Solares in — March 2022
The Talentor team at Servitalent has sparked many ideas, stimulated teamwork, and established a particular Friday tradition since joining Talentor: On Fridays, Servitalent invites another Talentor countries to join them for a virtual coffee break...to chat, interact, meet the team, and put a face to the names we encounter in our projects. Alberto and his team from Vigo, Bilbao, Madrid, Seville and Valencia met with various Talentor teams around the world: Latvia, China, Italy, Romania, the Netherlands... To make the talk even more memorable, the Dutch team sent some Dutch sweets to Spain!

We were interested to see what insights he acquired from all of his talks and to learn more about his initiative.

Alberto, could you tell us a little about what inspired you to interact with other Talentor countries on Fridays?

The Spanish e-coffee program was born out of a desire to get to know one another better and more pleasurable, as well as to promote collaboration between two teams in separate locations by utilizing the technical tools at our disposal.

Then thinking about business so that we can reflect ourselves internationally as we are: as a solid, collaborative, and well-positioned network in the services that we provide, seeking to generate interesting contacts all over the world, particularly between the two countries that are participating in the initiative.

What were some of the standout moments for you that you'd like to share with us?

I suppose what I highlight the most in general is "breaking expectations," because we often imagine how an interaction with strangers will go, but I have to admit that the response in these situations has always been wonderful!

Our partners have been very open, collaborative, interested in getting to know the Spanish market and above all happy to participate in this initiative.

I would highlight standout moments in which some members participate in the video call from their cars because they didn’t want to miss the “Spanish e-coffee with…”. Also, when we talked about soccer and the rivalries between the classic Spanish teams such as Real Madrid and Barcelona (a very controversial issue in our team). And finally, moments in which we talked about fun ideas for the Christmas party in the company.

Finally, what impact do you see in your Spanish team as a result of the calls?

Positive participation, attentive listening, but above all, integration into the Talentor International network!
Sometimes it happens that not all the team, due to their functions, have a close working relationship with our partners, but this is a great way to make them participate and give them closeness to the different teams and partners, so that they also have that strong nexus that makes us a single global network.

In my opinion, it is always positive to learn about other cultures and open your mind. This type of initiative can also be positive at the time of carrying out international selection processes as you know the way of being, think and deal with other countries and feel more prepared.

From us in Talentor Spain we’re always very happy to share these great moments with our partners, and what better way than enjoying a nice hot cup of coffee! 😉

Thank you very much, Alberto, and your entire team, for organizing this one-of-a-kind initiative with all of the teams and making your Fridays feel both linked to the rest of the world and fun!
