  • Welcome to Talentor Felipe! First things first, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
My name is Felipe Bournas, I’m 55 years old, married with 3 children. I’m a Commercial Engineer (B.Sc. in Economics and Administrative Sciences) with a long corporate career in Banks and Telcos.
  • Do you have other hobbies or things you enjoy doing with your family that you would like to share?
Yes! I enjoy traveling and playing sports such as paddle!

  • What led you to found your company Felipe?
The idea was born from the experience of having worked with many HR consulting firms for Recruiting, Hunting, OD consulting and others. It occurred to my partners Cristian Ariztia, Iván Rozas and to me that we could do it better by adding some key differentiators in management to our current and potential clients.
  • Share with us the biggest learnings from your career?
It is always important to lead by example, to inspire more than to give correct instructions and to work methodically and disciplined. It is necessary to manage with KPIs and SLAS even in areas that are softer. I believe that you do not achieve what you do not measure.
  • What advice would you give your younger self or any young person when starting their career?
Do not be arrogant or prideful, learn as much as possible from good leaders and constantly strive to improve!
  • You have spent your entire career in recruitment and executive search. What is your favorite thing about this industry?
I have spent two-thirds of my working life in positions of high commercial responsibility and the last 10 years in the world of people. I am passionate about working with people and having the possibility of positively influencing their development. I believe that this is the area in which leaders must be very integral and aware of the effect that each action has on others.
  • What is your company´s Unique Selling Proposition (USP) for clients and candidates?
Our value proposition is based on timeliness (speed, responsiveness without sacrificing quality) and the cultural fit of our candidates with the client organization. In addition to direct support in their onboarding process.

  • What is a typical profile that you recruit?
We do not specialize in a particular industry, but our most recurrent profiles are logistics, financial, commercial and IT.
  • Who is a typical client for you?
Large and corporate companies, national or multinational, in different industries.

  • What is one thing you would recommend to companies that not just want to recruit great talents, but also retain them?
Review the quality of internal leadership, develop clear diversity and inclusion policies, have an inspiring purpose, labor flexibility and a compensation system that motivates different generations.

  • What would you highlight from the Chilean market to our global partners, clients and candidates?
It is a highly globalized market, with outstanding economic and political stability in Latin America, which encourages the investment of large capital. It also has outstanding universities and professional level.

  • What surprises foreign companies the most when they are recruiting specialists in Chile?
The good professionalism of the candidates and the high rate of applicants with national and international postgraduate degrees.

  • What did you learn from working interculturally?
Just as it is important to know the culture of each client company, it is equally important to understand the different cultures of the applicants and countries in order to make the right match. It is also necessary to know the regulatory and other aspects of each country.

  • Why do you think it is important for a company like Talentor to be in the Latin American market, especially in the Chilean market?
Talentor is a global network, so it is important that it has a presence in Latin America, which presents many opportunities due to its emerging economies that have more room for growth than other more mature markets.

  • Why did you decide to join the Talentor network?
It is an efficient way to operate internationally without the need for large investments and under a reputable brand name. We are very excited to start our journey within the Talentor International network and eager to take advantage of and share all the opportunities and learnings that may arise!

We thank Felipe for sharing with us about himself and his company. But most of all, we warmly welcome him and the PropleGO partners and team to our Talentor community. We are sure it will be a wonderful experience to collaborate!
