We talked with Talentor Ukraine’s founder and Managing Partner, Miroslava Trandash, to learn more about the current situation of her company and how being part of an international network of recruitment and selection of executives, such as Talentor, has influenced its business development to continue finding the Leaders for Tomorrow locally and globally.

Hello Miroslava, many of our Partners already had the pleasure of meeting you, others are eager to do so or to get to know you better. Can you tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Miroslava Trandash. I have been an entrepreneur since 2013. I am a wife, mother, volunteer, and a leader of my team. I love my work very much. Generally, the craft of headhunting or recruiting is what has always inspired me and what I have always enjoyed. I am incredibly happy to work in this field and extremely pleased to have been able to gather a team of professionals, like-minded individuals, and truly make ourselves and our clients happy.

What can you say about MIRA Top Recruiting/ Talentor Ukraine? What motivated you to found your company?

The idea of creating a recruiting agency emerged in 2013. Despite talent competition always being present, the year 2013 marked a turning point in the labor market in Ukraine. That's when I decided to set new standards in recruiting because, although Ukraine was adopting great European technologies, the recruiting market was still at a relatively low professional level.

My team of like-minded individuals and I believed that projects could be done more efficiently, so we established this agency. Soon after, the global IT market began to actively develop, and we decided to enhance our IT competence to supply our talents to good European, international, and Ukrainian companies.

What would you like to emphasize about the search for talent recruiting in Ukraine?

From 2013 to 2020 we focused on and developed the executive direction. Over this time, our agency became highly successful and entered the top 10 agencies in Ukraine. We offered quality products, and maintained a strong portfolio with major companies, some of which were among the top 50 Forbes companies in Ukraine across various industries. We have built a highly effective network among our seekers and potential clients, gaining recognition and respect within the industry.

How long have you been part of Talentor and what has changed so far since MIRA Top Recruiting started its collaboration with Talentor?

We joined Talentor in 2021! This occurred when we met and conversed with Talentor International’s CEO Michael Sarsteiner. We understood the work standards and values that resonated well at that time and continue to do so.

We represent Talentor in Ukraine. Our popularity has increased, and we are pleased with the growth of our international clients, confirming the international status of our agency.

Currently, the situation in Ukraine is still complex. It started with a crisis related to COVID-19, and now the country is facing a full-scale invasion. Despite this, as a company, we have never ceased our operations. Working in Ukraine, we managed to develop two successful directions, with a particular focus on the executive sector. Over five years, we have established ourselves among the top 10 agencies in the country and maintained a quality portfolio with major companies.

The labor market has undergone significant changes due to challenging circumstances, and many agencies have exited the market. Nevertheless, we have been able to retain our team and clients thanks to tremendous support.

Test

We are immensely grateful to the Talentor International team for this. It is an incredible feeling - on the one hand, you understand that you must work to support your team, yourself, and the country's economy. But at the same time, it is a feeling of unity when you know you are not alone and have like-minded individuals in Europe and around the world who understand you and are willing to help when needed.

Do you have a particular collaboration moment within Talentor that you would like to highlight?

I will never forget when, as soon as the war started, the Talentor partners helped with the evacuation of people, assisted in job placements for our team and just our acquaintances. When we had very few projects, I remember a client from Ukraine who needed to conduct a search in Europe. That is when we collaborated with our partners from Latvia, Agata Anča and Gunita Smirnova. They completed the project and gave us the funds. I remember how emotional our team was at that time. It was a demonstration of such unity and support, which is truly precious in the world. We are grateful that we are together.

What do you think has surprised the Talentor partners the most about your local market?

In my opinion, what may have surprised Talentor partners is that despite rockets flying over us, we continue to work. Even though we did not experts this from ourselves, it turns out that we are capable of adapting even under air raids, under rockets, and all the terrifying events happening in Ukraine.

Another aspect that might have surprised our global Partners is that despite the war, we remain open to new knowledge. We are eager to learn, and we are very grateful for this opportunity.

What do you think is great about being part of an international network, the Talentor network?

  • Firstly, the head office of Talentor and our partners from other countries are always in touch, sincerely sharing their experiences and ready to help if advice is needed.
  • Secondly, for the Ukrainian market, having the status of global partners of an international network is crucial, especially for international companies where compliance policies specify the presence of an international status. This is something that we hope will greatly assist us in working with international clients. While we currently have fewer contracts during the war, I am very hopeful that after the war, we will have more contracts with international companies.
  • And thirdly, my team and I have varying levels of English language proficiency, but we are all actively learning English because it is a great motivation to attend partner and team meetings every year.

I can say that all initiatives promoted by Talentor International are truly inspiring. The Leaders 4 Tomorrow program, in which our Talent Manager Olga Khakhuda participates. is an opportunity to develop and educate the team of future leaders, and future outstanding professionals.

At Talentor, we are pleased to know our partners' perspectives on what being part of Talentor means to them and how cross-border collaborations have helped their companies grow, and for them feel supported in the process and get out of situations that may affect their countries or local markets with a strong network behind them.

We are happy to have partners like MIRA Top Recruiting, a 100% female team that has shown our Talentor Community their professional and personal wholeness. Thank you Myroslava for sharing this interview with us!
