Constares brings over two decades of experience in connecting top talent with cutting-edge companies in biotech, pharma, and healthcare. Their deep industry knowledge, hands-on approach, and commitment to quality make them a perfect match for Talentor’s values and standards. Let’s discover more about them in this inspiring interview with Constares' founder Christian Limmer!

Hallo Christian! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I was born and raised in the region of Munich in barbarian Germany and after studying Catholic theology I started my career in recruitment which means for more than 25 years now I'm a recruiter for the life science industry. A lot of things have changed since then, however, the main process of finding and attracting candidates and winning and service clients has never changed.
Network and bringing people together is my passion.
On a personal note, I have a wonderful family, a wife, three boys, two white Swiss shepherds, and a large garden that keeps us all busy and grounded.
What is your favorite thing about the recruitment and executive search in the life sciences industry?
The privilege of connecting with incredibly inspiring people—innovators with ideas that have the potential to improve, or even save, lives. It’s both humbling and motivating to play a part in helping these visionaries find the right teams to bring their missions to life.
Could you share with us a little bit about your beginnings in this industry?
After completing my studies in theology, I wasn’t quite sure what direction to take professionally. I came across the role of a recruitment consultant and, although I didn’t know much about the industry at the time, it sounded exciting and meaningful. I decided to apply—and got the job. That decision marked the beginning of a career that’s now spanned over 25 years.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned in my career is the importance of managing expectations—both from clients and candidates.
What led you to found Constares?
I was working for a mid-sized Dutch company that was later acquired by a large Irish corporation. Through that experience, I realized that my ideal working environment is within small to mid-sized companies—places where I can truly influence decisions and contribute directly to the company's success. That insight inspired me to found Constares, where I could build a business rooted in agility, impact, and meaningful partnerships.
What is your company´s USP for clients and candidates?
Our focus is on holistic recruitment—our goal isn't just to deliver candidates, but to truly solve our clients’ hiring challenges. That’s why we take the time to listen closely, understand their needs, and offer tailored solutions. This could mean a permanent placement, but it might also involve freelance professionals or limited-term staffing, depending on what best supports their objectives.

What is a typical profile that you recruit?
We place every kind of position within our client's company, starting at C-level positions where we have a specialized consultant until administration jobs, which are recruited by another consultant specialized in these roles.
Who is a typical client for you?
We primarily work for small and mid-sized companies in our specific branches these are on the one side small biotech start-ups but also international and global companies with a local office in Germany.
What surprises foreign companies the most when they are recruiting life science specialists in Germany?
Germany is a large and diverse country, and in some of its key life science hubs, employees tend to be less willing to relocate compared to those in other countries. As a result, it can be challenging to attract candidates from outside the immediate region where a client's office is based. That’s why making a well-informed, strategic decision about the location of a new business is absolutely critical.
What is something that a foreign company would never guess about the German labor market?
Finding qualified employees is increasingly difficult. The German labor market is facing a significant talent shortage. On top of that, our highly regulated employment system can pose challenges for international candidates trying to navigate the legal requirements.
What did you learn from working interculturally?
During my year in the Kingdom of Tonga in the South Pacific, I gained first-hand insight into how diverse perspectives and cultural backgrounds shape the way people think and communicate. I learned that what seems completely clear to me might be interpreted very differently by someone from another culture. This experience taught me that clear, open communication is essential when working interculturally.
Why did you decide to join the Talentor network?
I have worked in an international environment before founding Constares and always loved it. Great to come back to this and have again an international network to share ideas and business.
Whenever our clients asked for help outside of Germany we had to let them go as we could not offer anything. Today we have colleagues in many other countries and it feels great, to be able to help our clients in whatever region of the world!
With Germany being one of Europe’s most competitive and highly regulated labor markets—especially in the life sciences sector—this partnership strengthens our ability to deliver tailored recruitment and executive search services across the region.
