by Michael Sarsteiner in — September 2024
In today’s unpredictable economic climate, thriving as a recruitment business requires adaptability, creativity, and a deep understanding of both people and technology. That’s why Talentor International's annual Global Summit, which took place on September 26-27 in Warsaw, was more than just a gathering of global recruiting experts—it was an opportunity for growth, collaboration, and forward-thinking strategies.

Talentor International, a leading executive search community, brought together business owners, recruiters, researchers, and sales experts to focus on one central theme: Staying ahead in recruitment through technological innovation AND a close relationship to candidates, clients and our own teams. This year’s highlights? The growing impact of AI and how to leverage it to stay competitive in an evolving marketplace, creative sales approaches tested by our Leaders4Tomorrow leadership cohort and a keynote of the globally recognized speaker and consultant Sid Barnes.

Starting With a Vacation: A Unique Approach to Networking

Talentor's unique approach to fostering connections started with something unexpected - a vacation. Before diving into strategy workshops, participants had the chance to bond through group activities, uniting colleagues from across the globe in a relaxed, informal setting. This break from the usual conference format allowed participants to build stronger connections, setting the stage for the intensive learning and collaboration that followed.

New partners on board!

We are thrilled to welcome and meet our new partners in Luxembourg and Hungary in person! We even learned facts about those markets you would have never guessed, and all new colleagues were welcomed from the very first moment with curiosity, first collaboration ideas and questions.

AI in Recruiting: Standing Out in a Competitive Market

How can we stay on top of the tech game in recruitment?

As businesses across industries cut costs and evaluate their outsourcing needs more critically, Talentor’s experts shared ways to stand out by embracing AI and automation without losing the human touch that makes their services invaluable. Our Talentor partner in the Netherlands, Independent Recruiters, is constantly screening the market for new AI tools and shared insights and advice to the community.

Creative sales strategies were also on the agenda, with Talentor’s rising stars, fresh off the first round of the leadership program, sharing their insights. These innovative sales approaches are helping Talentor clients make confident decisions about outsourcing recruiting projects, even in times of uncertainty.

Community Exchange: The Key to Global Collaboration

At Talentor, the community thrives on the exchange of ideas, collaboration, and shared market insights. This year’s summit was no exception, with experts across different regions coming together to develop new strategies and explore market trends. A standout group within the Talentor community is the Marketing Practice Group, led by Manto Antoniotti, Talentor's Marketing Manager. Through monthly sessions, this group has become a hub of creativity, focusing on branding, content creation, and LinkedIn visibility.

In a fun twist, Talentor even created custom T-shirts for the most active members of the group, making collaboration not only productive but also memorable!

Sid Barns: Grit and Agility in Recruitment

One of the summit’s most anticipated moments was Sid Barns’ workshop on running a recruiting business with grit, smartness, and agility. A Sales & New Business Expert, Sid advises boards, business owners, and financial institutions across the U.K., Europe, and the U.S. on scaling their operations by optimizing culture, strategy, leadership, and data.

In his workshop, Sid emphasized the importance of being nimble, especially when **budgets are tight and markets uncertain**. According to Sid, now more than ever, it’s essential to build a resilient recruiting business that can adapt to fast-changing conditions and client needs.

Here's what some participants had to say about Sid Barns' workshop:

The Talentor Leadership Program: Cultivating the Future of Recruitment

Another exciting development at the summit was the presentation of Talentor’s **first leadership program graduates**, who brought fresh perspectives to creative sales strategies. This program is designed to foster the next generation of recruiting and business leaders within the Talentor community, ensuring that the organization remains at the cutting edge of global recruitment. We welcomed the second cohort now and kicked off the new program on Wednesday. Global keynote speakers from the industry, as also from international training institutes and C-level decision makers will also guide the cohort through this year.

As the summit concluded, one thing was clear—Talentor International is more committed than ever to evolving with the times, building strong global relationships, and harnessing the power of AI and data to deliver results for clients in life sciences, energy, IT and manufacturing technology sectors.
