I am an open-minded, easy-going, and sociable person who enjoys connecting with others and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Always willing to help, I take pride in offering support, sharing knowledge, and fostering positive relationships.
Do you have other hobbies or things you enjoy doing with your family/ friends that you would like to share?
I have a strong passion for sports, especially cycling, football, and golf, as they keep me active and focused. I also value quality time with family and friends, whether through social outings or meaningful conversations. Balancing sports, social connections, and professional growth keeps me motivated and energized.
What is your favorite thing about the recruitment and executive search industry?
To have the opportunity to connect talented individuals with the right organizations. It’s incredibly rewarding to help both companies and candidates grow and succeed by matching them with the perfect fit, and it’s always exciting to discover new opportunities and challenges in the process.
Could you share with us a little bit about your beginnings in this industry?
I began my career as a headhunter in Breda, Netherlands, specializing in the consumer goods sector for a project in the Spanish market. Initially, I anticipated the role to be straightforward, but I quickly realized its complexity.
What are the biggest learnings from your career?
One of the biggest learnings from my career is the importance of building strong relationships and maintaining trust with both clients and candidates. I’ve also learned that flexibility and adaptability are key to succeeding in recruitment, as every search presents unique challenges. And, most importantly, patience is crucial—finding the right fit often takes time, but it’s always worth it in the end.

What led you to found Boomerang?
The desire to create a business that truly prioritizes people—both clients and candidates. I wanted to build an environment where trust, communication, and personalized service are at the forefront. By focusing on quality and long-term relationships, I have believed since the beginning, that we could make a real impact in helping people grow professionally and support businesses in achieving their goals.
What is your company´s USP for clients and candidates?
Our company’s USP for both clients and candidates is our focus on building close, trust-based relationships and offering a personalized approach.
We take the time to truly understand the specific needs of each client and the career aspirations of each candidate. This allows us to provide tailored solutions that not only meet requirements but also promote long-term professional growth.
Our commitment is to create lasting connections and have a real, positive impact on both individuals and organizations.
What is a typical profile that you recruit?
Professionals across a range of key business functions, including Finance, HR, Legal, Sales, Digital, and IT. These roles span various industries and levels, from mid-level specialists to senior executives.
Who is a typical client for you?
Any company that values long-term talent development and seeks personalized recruitment solutions. They are often mid-to-large-sized organizations across various industries, looking to fill middle management or executive roles.
Companies that prioritize quality over quantity and appreciate our hands-on approach, as well as our ability to find the right cultural fit and support their overall growth.
What is one thing you would recommend to companies that not just want to recruit great talents, but also retain them?
To invest in continuous development and create a positive, inclusive work culture. Retention goes beyond just offering a good salary—it’s about fostering an environment where employees feel valued, challenged, and supported in their growth. Providing opportunities for learning, recognizing achievements, and maintaining open communication are all crucial to keeping great talent engaged and motivated.
What surprises foreign companies the most when they are recruiting specialists in Spain?
This is a great point! Spain offers a dynamic environment for both, personal and professional growth, with its vibrant culture, favorable climate, and growing entrepreneurial ecosystem. It’s a strong draw for international talent!

What did you learn from working interculturally?
Working interculturally has taught me the importance of flexibility and open-mindedness. Each culture has its values, communication styles, and approaches to business, so it’s crucial to adapt and be respectful of these differences.
I’ve learned to be more patient, listen carefully, and understand that there isn’t always a 'one-size-fits-all' approach. The experience has made me more effective in building relationships and finding solutions that work across different cultural contexts.
What is something that a foreign company would never guess about the Spanish labor market?
The level of importance placed on personal connections and networking. In Spain, many business opportunities, including recruitment, often come through personal recommendations and building strong relationships. Additionally, the concept of 'job stability' is highly valued, and candidates often seek long-term employment with companies that offer security and work-life balance, which might differ from what foreign companies expect in other markets.
